Päijänne National Park
Hike and adventure in the beautiful Päijänne National Park, formed by sandy shores and unique lagoons. Located in southern Päijänne, the park includes around fifty unspoiled islands and islets, as well as parts of inhabited islands and the Pulkkilanharju Ridge. The heart of Päijänne National Park, Kelvenne, is one of Finland’s largest and most impressive ridge islands shaped by the last ice age.
Venetaksimme offers a quick and pleasant shuttle service from Lehmonkärki Resort to Kelvenne, allowing visitors easy access to the stunning landscapes of Päijänne National Park.

Kanava Golf
The 18-hole Kanavagolf, built in 2003 and located in Asikkala, is just a 15-minute drive from Lehmonkärki. You can book a tee time directly online.
You and your family can access the driving range without a green card by paying for a game token at the golf club. We can also arrange a golf event for groups on the Par 3 course, where not everyone needs to have a green card.
Nearby villages
Asikkala boasts thirteen villages, each offering an authentic rural idyll along with charming personal services, shops, and cafes. A tour of these villages makes for a delightful day trip, easily filling a whole day. You can explore the villages by car, motorcycle, or electric mountain bike.
The lively village of Kalkkinen in Northern Asikkala features several attractions. In the heart of the village, Pihamaa Winery and Garden is known for producing wines, ciders, beers, and liqueurs from its own ingredients. During the summer, the café and on-site shop are open. Nearby, Manibaar’s pizzas are also very popular. Kalkkinen Canal and Kalkkinen Rapids Nature Reserve are worth a visit as well.
Urajärvi, the easternmost village in Asikkala, highlights include Urajärvi Manor, where guided walking tours are available. The Museum Café Hugo and Lily, along with the Hägg’s Taxidermy Museum, which showcases the history of Finland’s oldest taxidermy studio, are notable places to visit.
Vesivehmaa is known for its airport and the Päijät-Häme Aviation Museum. Antti’s Car Museum displays about 30 vintage registered cars and a few motorcycles. Also in Vesivehma, Jenkkapirtti, popular with dance enthusiasts, hosts dance events during the summer.
The village of Kurhila-Hillilä in western Asikkala offers beautiful cultural landscapes. HilleRin Café is famous for its delicious pastries. At Mattson’s Organic Berry Farm, you can purchase fresh berries, and Pellavatupa Joentorp offers linen products and the opportunity to participate in the “From Field to Yarn” demonstration with advance booking.
