The area of Lehmonkärki Resort offers versatile activities and experiences for guests of all ages and abilities. Experience lake nature at its best and enjoy outdoor activities and exercise in wonderful scenery. You can go kayaking, boating or fishing in Päijänne, explore the area’s nature trails and hiking trails, or try your luck on the frisbee golf course. In addition to active vacationers, we offer relaxing options, such as the warmth of the beach sauna and the refreshment of the outdoor jacuzzi. Children can also find their own activity on the playground. In addition, you can participate in various organized activities and excursions that offer the opportunity to experience the best parts of the area under the guidance of a guide. Whether your passion is nature, exercise or relaxation, Lehmonkärki has something for every visitor.
Activities can be booked easily at our reception during its opening hours. The equipment warehouse is open Mon-Sat from 9 am to 7 pm and on Sunday from 9 am to 12 pm.

You should definitely make the most of your vacation. What would a vacation be without decent opportunities to do what you like? No matter the season, there is always something interesting to do in Lehmonkärje. Possibilities are everywhere; from swimming to snowmobile safaris and fishing to frisbee golf and berry picking. For those with a competitive spirit, we plan and organize a playful game tournament according to your wishes.

Frisbee golf
The Frisbee golf course at Lehmonkärki Resort was completed in 2018. The course was designed by Kalevi Louhivuori and goes around the wonderful rocky landscapes with Päijänne sparkling in the background. Lehmonkärki frisbeegolf offers its players a professional-level full-length 18-hole course. The longest fairway on the course is 120 meters and the shortest is 58 meters. Most of the fairways are par 3. You should start the round by warming up first with throws into the practice basket. The terrain is hilly and varied, so going around the track is good for fitness.
If hunger surprises you, you can find blueberries and lingonberries for a snack in nature, and at the end of the game trip you can go to Päijänne to refresh yourself. In addition, our beach restaurant will serve you from 19 June to 11 August 2024 from 11 am to 6 pm.

Bank cards and cash are accepted as payment methods at the reception. When the reception is closed, the track fee can be paid with Mobilepay or in cash to the mailbox at the start of the track. Instructions for payment can be found near the Lehmonkärki reception at the starting point of the course.
Fishing
Fishing is a perfect counterbalance to busy everyday life. Lehmonkärki has excellent conditions for teasing Päijänne’s finfish. You can sit on the prow of your own villa’s pier or throw a snare drum from there. The rent of each villa includes a Päijän rowing boat and you can use it to row to the edge of the nearest reeds. At the reception, we sell fishing licenses and rent fishing equipment, outboard motors for rowing boats or dinghies for longer boat trips. From Lehmonkärki Resort, you can also book a day cruise or a fishing trip with a guide on the fishing ferry Marleena. You can also go out on the water with your own boat. You can safely launch your own boat (e.g. trolling boat) from the shallow sandy beach of Lehmonkärki. The closest paved boat launch is at Vääksy marina.
If you come to Lehmonkärki with a bigger boat, you can safely leave your boat at our guest boat dock. Please always notify the Lehmonkärki reception of your arrival. In winter, you can rent ice fishing equipment or go on an ice fishing trip with a guide for the day to enjoy the tight fishing lines.
Water jets
Spend a fast-paced day in the wonderful scenery by riding a jet ski to Päijänne. You can go on a self-guided tour or choose a guided safari. Driving Lehmonkärki’s high-quality jets is a pleasure. One jet can accommodate 1-3 people.

Sup board
The lake bay in front of Lehmonkärki is an ideal spot for stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). The bay’s islands, cliffs, and reeds offer a chance to observe a variety of bird species. Paddleboarding is a peaceful form of exercise that strengthens the core muscles and improves balance.

Renting Sit On Top kayaks is easy with us! The kayaks can accommodate 1-4 people at a time. Instructions, equipment, and route tips are available at the reception.
You can reach the Kelvenne Island in Päijänne National Park by kayak in two hours!

Playgrounds and a sandy beach
From the Lehmonkärki area, you can find a playground that is freely accessible for children. In the summer, you can enjoy activities like throwing darts, playing with kids in the sandbox, testing your jumping skills on the trampoline, and much more.
Next to the playground is the Pergo multi-use court, where you can play tennis, basketball, and floorball. You can book equipment and court time at our reception.
The sandy beach at Isohaava is a great spot for playing beach volleyball or trying out pedal boats. Pedal boats are available for our guests to use at no additional charge. The shallow waters at the beach are safe for the little ones to swim in.

Electric mountain bikes
Rent a Cube electric mountain bike from Lehmonkärki and set off to explore nearby destinations on two wheels. From Lehmonkärki, you can head in various directions. You have the choice of leisurely scenic routes or more sporty trail rides.
Lehmonkärki 8 km (easy): This 8-kilometer easy bike route is suitable for the whole family and traverses the surrounding old spruce forests and open fields. You might even encounter some impressive Highland cattle grazing in the fields along the way.
Pulkkilanharju 15 km (easy): The bike route to Pulkkilanharju is easy and family-friendly. The trail takes you through beautiful farmland, leading to the stunning Pulkkilanharju ridge formation. Near the Karisalmensilta bridge on the ridge, you’ll find an ice cream kiosk and informational signs for the Pulkkilanharju nature trail during the summer. The route is 15 kilometers long.
60 km Loop: A full-day excursion that takes you from Lehmonkärki through the picturesque village of Kalkkinen and the Kalkkinen canal to Vääksy and back to Lehmonkärki.

Jogging paths
Lehmonkärki is located in a beautiful spot on the shores of Lake Päijänne. The area is surrounded by vast forests and offers plenty of stunning natural scenery. In the nearby nature, you can go jogging, orienteering, search for geocaches, or simply enjoy a picnic.
The Lehmonkärki villa area is encircled by the 2.2 km Hobbit Trail fitness path. For those looking for a longer route, the 7 km Lehmo Trail, which partially uses forest roads, is ideal. Additionally, there are numerous unmarked forest paths and forest roads in the area. Feel free to embark on an adventure alone or with a group, with or without trekking poles. Poles can be rented at the reception.
The Lehmonkärki area features a control point network designed by the local orienteering club, Asikkalan Raikas. At the reception, we offer rental of compasses and orienteering maps.
