Welcome to a unique excursion where contemporary Finnish folk art comes alive in the most captivating forms. This journey takes you to the heart of creativity—into the world of two distinctive self-taught artists, full of colors, stories, and insightful humor.

Our first stop is Esa Pajulahti’s Promised Land miniature village, whose skillfully crafted structures, sculptures, and details tell stories of world politics, popular culture, biblical figures, and Finnish nature. A particular gem is Esa’s hand-decorated forest church, whose interior captivates with its detail and atmosphere. This destination is an experience that makes visitors pause and smile.

The trip continues to the home cottage of naïve artist Enni Id (1904–1992), which is itself like a painting. The small red cottage bears Enni’s brushstrokes from floor to ceiling. Doors, furniture, jars, and baskets overflow with flowers, cat motifs, and depictions of rural life. The whole is colorful, warm-spirited, and charmingly personal, just like the artist herself.

The day is crowned with a delicious lunch and coffee break in Enni’s spirit, celebrating good food and inspiring art

This trip is the perfect choice for you who love the narrative quality of art and slightly different experiences. Join us to discover the wildest and most beautiful expressions of Finnish creativity!
