Restaurant on the Shore of Lake Päijänne

Our lakeside restaurant offers flavours and atmosphere throughout the year. We are open on weekends year-round, and during the summer season we serve daily. Our kitchen highlights the finest seasonal ingredients, effortless enjoyment, and the pleasure of togetherness by the lake. Our restaurant serves conference guests year-round.

Our kitchen

For decades, the hallmark of Lehmonkärki’s kitchen has been first-class ingredients and excellent flavour, executed with thoughtful simplicity. For us, this means local farmers and producers from nearby villages, from whom we source vegetables, garden berries, and juices. Forest berries and mushrooms come from nearby forests, fish from Lake Päijänne, and the organic oat flakes used in our renowned morning porridge are grown in our own fields. In our team’s hands, these ingredients are transformed into delicious food with traditional and modern twists, as the occasion calls for.

Lakeside restaurant

At our lakeside restaurant, enjoy daily changing fish, meat, and vegetarian dishes prepared from the finest seasonal ingredients—simply, yet without compromising on flavour. For a lighter appetite or a sweet moment, we offer our own baked goods, the house’s creamy yoghurt ice creams, savoury treats, drinks from local breweries, and carefully crafted specialty coffees. There is ample space, and we are happy to reserve a table for parties of more than four. In summer, our large terrace invites you to linger in the lakeside scenery, enjoying food, drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Gourmet evenings

Gourmet evenings return in summer 2026, with sales opening in spring 2026. For nearly two decades, these evenings have offered experiences through new flavour pairings and carefully planned menus. Previously held only on Thursdays in July, Gourmet evenings have grown into a popular concept and expanded into year-round events where guests enjoy excellent food, drinks, and atmosphere without haste. The secret of the evening lies in the fact that the menu is never revealed in advance.

Local beverages

At our restaurant, we favour carefully selected local and quality beverages. Our drinks menu features house-made cocktails and mocktails, mild drinks, and a wide range of non-alcoholic options for every occasion. Our wine selection consists of carefully chosen wines from small wineries that complement the dining experience naturally.

Meals are designed to support the flow of the day from start to finish. Service times naturally structure the conference day, from morning coffee to lunch and dinners, and are prepared from seasonal ingredients favouring locally produced items. We ensure you stay satisfied and can enjoy the lake scenery and each other’s pleasant company alongside the food.

Event catering for resort guests

For resort guests, we offer event catering that makes gatherings truly celebratory, effortlessly and deliciously. We deliver the service ready to your location and plan the menu with you so that the overall experience perfectly suits the atmosphere of your event, taking into account special diets and allergies so that all guests can enjoy.

Dinner package for the villa

€55 / person – includes starter, main course with sides, and dessert. Delivery €30 or delivery and table setting €80

Dinners delivered to the villa must be ordered and any special diets and allergies must be reported at least two weeks before the event.

Unique Hunting Lodge

The rustic and wilderness-inspired Hunting Lodge is an atmospheric restaurant space. The log-built lodge is decorated with a hunting theme, and at its heart blazes a massive stone-clad fireplace. The hunting-themed décor and taxidermy animals tell the story of the area’s history and abundant wildlife.

Hunting Lodge €390 / 3 hours between 17:00–23:00 (event ends by 22:30 at the latest)

The Hunting Lodge works excellently as a dinner venue for 15–25 people.

Roots from the farm

Our site operates on the land of a farm established in the early 1600s, where cultivation and animal husbandry have continued for over 17 generations. The same fields still produce crops today, and we use them responsibly in our current food production. We want to keep the connection to local food tangible, from field directly to kitchen. For example, our organic oat porridge is made from oats grown less than two kilometres from our restaurant.
